“The scope of the e-gazette portal is to allow the govt departments and the public to upload notifications, notices, and other information that required publication in the gazette, directly onto the portal. We are committed to delivering citizen-centric services through this initiative,” said Khaunte.
The paperless platform is seen as a significant step forward towards revamping the current method of publication which requires a printed copy of the document to be submitted to the department’s printing press.
Khaunte said that the Goa e-gazette portal is a comprehensive digital directory of all the official gazettes. The online portal would also facilitate public access and download of gazette notifications issued by state govt.
The gazette notification is an important legal requirement to validate, authenticate, and make effective various kinds of laws, acts, rules, orders, and govt decisions.
